Can I take on a Flat Stanley podcast?

I spent some time tonight reading blogs that other classmates have posted. I ran across a blog post about podcasts in a 1st grade classroom! Thank you, Kate! You made my day!

She shared a link to an example of a 1st grade podcast on the adventures of Flat Stanley. I immediately got excited. This is my favorite part of Spring. After reading Flat Stanley, my students create their own and send him to family members all over the world!

Alas... A PODCAST IDEA! My class could create a series titled "Where in the World is Flat Stanely"? As Flat Stanley returns to them, my students could share his adventure in their very own episode of the series!

  1. I love Flat Stanley, but haven't yet been in a class setting where I've been able to do anything with him! I am really hoping to next year, so thanks for the links :) If you do end up doing a podcast with your students on Flat Stanley, you'll have to blog about it and share your experience!

  2. I have just been invited to the opening of a Famous Americans Museum, designed by some fabulous 1st graders. I was wondering if a podcast lesson plan might be developing audio tours for this museum.

  3. That is a wonderful idea, Dawn! While it is a little late to do it this year for our museum, it is something I will def. keep in mind for the next one! :o)
